About the Designer
I am twenty-seven years old and presently reside in Reynoldsburg, OH which is a nice suburb on the southeast side of Columbus. It was a large move for me; previously I lived in the Portsmouth/Lucasville, OH area for twenty-five years. I attended Northwest High School in McDermott and graduated from Shawnee State University's Paramedic Training Program in the Summer of 2001.
I have been involved with the Fire Service and EMS since I was in high school. I served as a junior firefighter with the Morgan Township Volunteer Fire Department my junior and senior years; after graduation I attended Firefighter 1A training at SCJVS. I became an EMT-Basic in January of 2000 and a Paramedic in July 2001. I love EMS, I really enjoy what I do, but I've felt that after seven years I've punished my body enough and it's time to do something else.
I enrolled at DeVry University Online, which is based in Chicago, at the Columbus campus. I have remained in good standing with the university earning a 4.0 GPA and spot on the Dean's List my first year. I am working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems, concentrating in Web Development and Administration. Computers have been another love of mine since high school; everything from online gaming and operating systems to web programming and graphic design. My goals after graduation are to obtain an IT/IS job and attended Keller Graduate School of Management for my Master's in Information Systems Management.
As far as hobbies I love to read, write poetry, and hike. I collect dragons and I love the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes; I enjoy TV shows like Sci-Fi's Ghost Hunters, American Idol, Family Guy, and Mythbusters.
Finally I raise two cats named Anastasia and Luna. Anastasia is a Russian blue mix and Luna is an black longhair mix; both are shelter rescues and I fully support the Humane Society. If I had the money I would probably own a huge house just to run a feline rescue.
